Walker said the savings would average $3000 per year. (For whom?)
This is a crazy number. It would require a person to spend over $50,000 per year in post-tax income on taxable consumer goods to spend $3,000 in sales taxes. Maybe Walker's including other nonsensical holiday plans, but he should either get to work himself or take a permanent holiday.

Open letter to Doyle regarding H-1B visas

Dear Jim Doyle, I want to let you know I am against any increase in H-1B visas. The fact that you, as my governor, signed on to a letter to increase H-1B visas is a slap in the face to all IT workers seeking jobs. To claim there is a critical shortage of highly skilled professionals in math and science is a lie. This myth has long ago been debunked by a Duke University study at http://www.issues.org/23.3/wadhwa.html I hope you will listen to voters who have to live with the consequences of jobs being given to H-1B visa workers rather than the corporations who want to give our jobs away. The vast political fissure that threatens the very soul of the American Experiment, widened a bit with the reaffirmation of Scott Walker 's governorship through the unsuccessful recall. Now I personally believe that Tom Barrett is an honorable man but I think his soft demeanor and non-confrontational style were overwhelmed by the ideological enthusiasm of Walker's adherents.  I honestly think in terms of Neville Chamberlain at Munich with bratwurst and beer  served at the Governor's Mansion to the tune of " Peace in our time. " Then perhaps this argument is just an inevitable  ignoratio elenchi  via reductio ad hitlerum   ... Yes this is a mea culpa to Godwin's Law . The most disastrous of United States Supreme Court decisions are  arguable ,  Scott v. Sandford , Pleassy v. Phergusson , and Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission . ...
